General Information

The Department of Community Development of is responsible for administering the Community Development Block Grant Program, funded by the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development. The City works in partnership with a wide range of public agencies and non-profit organizations to provide vital community programs and opportunities for public facility rehabilitation.

The City of Hoboken Department of Community Development will host a Public Hearing at the June 20, 2018 City Council Meeting at 7:00PM, in City Council Chambers, 94 Washington Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030 regarding its Annual Action Plan for Program Year 2018 for US Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD), Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds. The City of Hoboken will gather public input on the content of the Annual Action Plan, which is created every year and assists the City of Hoboken in determining community needs. Public input will inform the City’s anticipated Annual Action Plan for Program Year 2018, which the City intends to submit to HUD for review and acceptance on or around June 30, 2018. This will be the 2nd Public Hearing that the City has conducted for the 2018 Annual Action Plan. A previous public meeting was held on Tuesday, February 13, 2018 at 6:30PM at the City of Hoboken City Hall 1st Floor Conference Room, 94 Washington Street, Hoboken, NJ 07030.

The City will receive $1,075,286 from the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development for the 2018 CDBG Program Year (July 1, 2018 to June 30, 2019).
