The City of Hoboken City Council will hold a Public Hearing on this project in the Council Chambers at Hoboken City Hall, 94 Washington Street, Hoboken, NJ at 7:00 p.m. during its regular meeting on Monday, November 13, 2023.
The project is located at 901 Sinatra Drive, Block 259, Lot 1, and a portion of 9 Castle Point Terrace, Block 259, Lot 2. The project is 378,967 square feet or approximately eight (8) acres in size.
The project will create a public park that includes the construction of new recreational facilities, a community building, piers, and natural areas that increase the park’s resiliency to coastal flooding.
The proposed change of use includes the redevelopment of the former Union Dry Dock industrial site and existing Castle Point Terrace Skate Park into a permanent waterfront park with a new skatepark, flexible lawn area, nature playground, community building, plazas, learning pier, maritime pier, expanded beach, and tidal marsh.
The public is invited to submit verbal comment on the change in use during the public hearing. Alternatively, written comment may be submitted to Hoboken City Hall at 94 Washington Street, Hoboken, New Jerseyattn: Department of Environmental Services.
