The City of Hoboken and Hudson Regional Health Commission will host a new COVID-19 vaccine clinic on Tuesday, Oct. 10, to provide residents with the newly approved updated Pfizer and Moderna COVID-19 vaccines that target newer variants ahead of the winter season. The clinic will also offer residents 65 years or older the flu vaccine.
The U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) authorized new updated Moderna and Pfizer vaccines last month.
The clinic will offer those 6 months old or older the updated Pfizer vaccine and those 1-year-old or older the updated Moderna vaccine. Please note those aged 6 months to 4 years old cannot receive the Pfizer vaccine if they were previously vaccinated with Moderna.
"I encourage all eligible residents to get the new FDA approved COVID-19 vaccine, which targets recent variants and offers greater protection as e head into the fall,” said Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla. “Thank you to the Hudson Regional Health Commission for working with us as we continue to make sure our community has access to the new vaccine."
The City's clinic will be held at 605 Jackson Street between 1 p.m. and 3:45 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 10. Appointments are strongly encouraged due to limited vaccine availability. Make an appointment online at https://www.hudsoncovidvax.org/. Call (201) 223-1133 or email HCvax@hudsonregional.gov with any questions.
