The City of Hoboken announced the return of its free Summer Fun programming, featuring concerts, outdoor movies, dance performances, and fitness classes for residents and visitors of all ages. The summer season officially kicks off on today, June 2, with the first Concert in the Park performance by the Hoboken Public School District at Shipyard Park at 6:30 p.m.
Throughout the summer, residents can enjoy a variety of free events across Hoboken's parks including Concerts in the Park, Movies Under the Stars, DanceFest, and Fitness in the Park.
“Summer in Hoboken is a time to come together and celebrate everything that makes our community special,” said Mayor Emily B. Jabbour. “From live music and outdoor movies to dance performances and fitness classes, these free programs create opportunities for neighbors, friends, and families to connect while enjoying our beautiful parks and waterfront. I encourage everyone to take advantage of these wonderful events throughout the season.”
Concerts in the Park
The City’s annual Concerts in the Park series begins Tuesday, June 2, and continues throughout the summer on various Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday evenings. Performances will take place at parks and public spaces throughout Hoboken, including Shipyard Park, the Southwest Resiliency Park Farmers’ Market, Church Square Park, and Sinatra Park.
This year’s lineup includes local favorites like Ron Albanese and Swingadelic, as well as performances by Glenn Morrow’s Cry for Help, Janétza Miranda, and the popular Sinatra Sings contest in partnership with the Hoboken Historical Museum. Residents can also enjoy special themed evenings presented in partnership with the Hoboken Pride Advisory Committee and the Puerto Rican Cultural Committee.
Movies Under the Stars
Movies Under the Stars returns with a lineup of films across genres. Each movie night will feature trivia beginning at 8 p.m., with opportunities to win prizes. Movies will begin at 9 p.m.

Free pizza will be provided on a first-come, first-served basis on June 24, July 15, July 22, and July 29, by sponsor Colavita.
Rain dates are scheduled for Aug. 8 and Aug. 12.
DanceFest
DanceFest returns to ResilienCity Park on June 30, July 7, and July 14. Beginning at 7 p.m. each evening, attendees will enjoy professional dance performances from acclaimed organizations and artists, including performers affiliated with the Metropolitan Opera, Ballet Hispanico, and more.
Fitness in the Park
Fitness in the Park begins June 8 and runs through Aug. 26, offering residents a variety of free outdoor fitness classes led by local studios and instructors. Classes range from yoga and Pilates to high-intensity interval training (HIIT) and other wellness-focused programs.
Participants are encouraged to bring a water bottle, sneakers, and an exercise mat.
