The City of Hoboken, Hoboken Public Safety Department, and Hoboken Police Department announce the promotion of ten dedicated officers during a ceremony at the DeBaun Performing Arts Center at Stevens Insitute of Technology this afternoon.
The promotions were as follows:
“Today, we celebrate the achievements of these HPD officers whose dedication to the safety of our City has been unwavering, and inspiring,” said Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla. “I look forward to their continued contributions and growing leadership in these new positions.”
“Watching these officers rise up the ranks, makes me confident of their continued commitment to public safety and their community,” said Public Safety Director Kenneth Ferrante. “All of these promotions are well earned, and I can’t wait to see what comes next for each and every one of them.”
“This ceremony is a celebration of the hard work and leadership of the ten promoted today, and the entire Hoboken police force,” said Police Chief Steven Aguiar. “I am proud of all ten of these men and women, and I have no doubt they will all excel in these new roles, as they continue to serve the City with bravery, integrity, and professionalism.”
Fifteen recently sworn-in officers are currently assigned to field training, and six new hires are currently at the Police Academy to help fill the positions vacated by those promoted today. The Hoboken Police Department looks forward to hiring another class of officers who will enter the academy early next year.
