In honor of May's National Preservation Month, the Hoboken Historic Preservation Commission will join the National Trust for Historic Places Annual “This Place Matters” awareness campaign. “This Place Matters” is a month long social media awareness campaign that encourages people to celebrate the places that are meaningful to them and their communities.
By taking and posting photos of places that are special to Hoboken residents, with the hashtag #thisplacematters, we will shine a spotlight onto places that make Hoboken special. Twenty Five of Hoboken's oldest establishments have been selected for special events and recognition ranging from Albini's Pharmacy, opened in 1880 to the Dom's Bakery Grand, opened in 1979.
