Mayor Ravi S. Bhalla and the City of Hoboken are proud to once again offer Art in the Park, a six week outdoor arts summer program for children ages 1-4 years of age. Art in the Park is a Hoboken favorite, with local preschool teacher, Nora Martinez DeBenedetto helping your child dig into play dough, paint, glue, bubbles, & much more! This is a great opportunity for your child to socialize with other children and explore all sorts of sensory activities. Join us for water play, story time and sing-a-long activities in the shade of your local park.
Sessions will be held beginning the week of June 15 on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursdays at Elysian Park (10th Street and Hudson Street), and Wednesday at Pier A Park (1st Street and Sinatra Drive). Participants can sign up for the early morning session (9 am – 10:30 am) or the late morning session (11:00 am – 12:30 pm).
The cost for participants is $40.00 for 6 classes. Children may only attend the class for which he/she is registered. Accommodations cannot be made for switching classes or makeups (including vacations). If class is cancelled due to inclement weather conditions, parents will receive an email notification regarding a makeup date. Makeup classes will take place on Friday’s at either Pier A Park or Elysian Park.
Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and best to dress in messy clothing, as materials used may stain clothing. You must be a Hoboken resident. Proof of residency required.
