What happened this past weekend in Hoboken Ultra Bar, HUB, is an affront to human decency and a horrific objectification of women. I will use all my powers as Mayor to make sure it never happens in our City again. Accordingly, I have directed the ABC Prosecutor to vigorously seek the permanent revocation of HUB’s liquor license, the severest penalty available under the law.
Let this response serve to warn other bar owners that my Administration will not tolerate this sort of behavior. This is not what Hoboken is about, it is not what the people of Hoboken deserve, and I simply will not allow it to happen again under my watch.
Lastly, I would like to thank the Hoboken Police Department, the Hudson County Prosecutor, and the Hoboken ABC Prosecutor for their quick and decisive actions to ensure the safety and well-being of our City.
